2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Class – Mercedes-Benz has a reputation for luxury and comfort, but rarely a person thinks of a Mercedes as affordable. The brand hopes to change that a bit with the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Class. The brand’s smallest car in America, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Class is a four-door coupe that sits at the forefront of style. Priced at $ 30,000 to start, the CLA also provides a strong value proposition. Style plus value? It’s an interesting mix.
Fortunately, the 014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Class promises decent performance, with the base CLA 250 rated at 208 horsepower and 6.7 seconds to 60 mph thanks to a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine driving the front wheels . Gas mileage is not officially rated, but it should be fine, we expect at least 30 mpg on the highway.
For the more performance-oriented, an AMG version is also in the works. Because of the end of 2013, the 2014 CLA45 AMG starts under $ 50,000, gets to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, and sends 360 horsepower through all four wheels. The extra power still comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, but it is an AMG built and developed version that offers much greater performance.
While we have not driven the 014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Class, we had some time behind the wheel of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250. Ride quality and handling is taut. Send a direct and fast, but without feedback. On the whole, the CLA 250 feels sporty and capable, but we’d like several engine suspension modes to see more sporty or more laid-back ride. Dynamic, all-wheel-drive version has a slight edge, if only because of its better handling of power.
The convenience and quality, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA class is very helpful – as long as you are in the front seats. Material is good, with a mix of cloth and standard MB-Tex faux leather and full leather optional. Control layout is logical and easy to use, and there is plenty of room in the trunk. The back seat, but pay a fine in both leg and head room, thanks to the CLA’s compact dimensions and coupe-like roof. Small back door entry and exit difficult. Road and wind noise is muted and well controlled.
Instead of the thicker styling that received the A-Class, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Class restyled with sharp geskuinsde roofline and turns that just shy as attention grabbing as Kate Upton’s. Over in Europe, it is expected to come up with a long list of diesel and gas engines available, but we expect it to at least the 211-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine when it is being launched as part of its standard lineup. If that is not enough, but Mercedes-Benz will also be a hotter version of the engine in the wings in the CLA45 AMG’s expected to make 350 horsepower.

Coincidentally enough, Mercedes-Benz’s featured commercial star Kate Upton herself. We will keep you informed of the U.S. specs for the sub-C-Class car when we find out more. Mercedes has yet to announce pricing for the 2014 CLA class. Rumours suggest a base figure of about $ 30,000. Well-equipped models will probably overlap entry-level versions of the larger 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan.
