The 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee follows the same path with strong looks, enhanced interior, and almost endless options.  The 2013 Grand Cherokee looks great and weighs nearly five thousand pounds. The V8 is mated to the 6-speed automatic and returns 14/20 mpg city/highway. Topping the range is the Grand Cherokee SRT8 and Jeep performance oriented with a monstrous 470 horsepower, 6.4-liter V-8 making 465 pounds -feet of torque combined with a more robust five-speed automatic. This combination returns a less than stellar 12/18 mpg city/highway.

In 2011, the Grand Cherokee changed to the four-wheel independent suspension, but did not completely crossed over to the land. Still has the standard rear wheel drive and plenty of off- road capability. There are at least three sets of four-wheel drive offered, each with different characteristics that become more and more robust. The two main systems, Quadra -Trac II and Quadra -Drive II offers the Selec-Terrain system, in which the driver to select the current field and the suspension/transmission adapt to different conditions, either in the sand/mud, rocks or snow.
