The 2020 Jaguar XE is a decent luxury small car, but there are far better cars in the class. 2020 Jaguar XE rear seats are cramped, and many rivals have more straightforward infotainment systems. On the plus side, the 2020 XE has capable turbocharged engines, agile handling, and a smooth ride. It also has a good-looking interior with sumptuous front seats and plenty of tech features. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control and the Touch Pro infotainment system with a 10-inch touch screen, two USB ports, Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
Available features include a 12.3-inch interactive driver display that takes place of the traditional gauge cluster, wireless device charging, and the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system, which adds a 5.5-inch touch screen for climate control functions. This upgraded system also has navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a Meridian audio system.

This allows you to access them with ease and attach the car-seat straps with little effort.

Although some rivals offer powertrains with more panache than the XE, this Jaguar gives you a choice between two turbocharged four-cylinder engines that are more than suitable for any driving situation. The base 247-horsepower setup will satisfy most buyers, but there’s a 296-horsepower powertrain that’s much quicker off the line. Though having nearly 300 horsepower is plenty for a car this size, some rivals still offer performance-oriented models that will put the XE R-Dynamic to shame. Whichever engine you choose, you’ll want to disable the irritating engine stop-start system. This Jaguar gets typical fuel economy ratings for a luxury small car. It earns 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway with its base engine. Those ratings are marginally better than what you’ll get in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but they’re slightly behind the BMW 3 Series’ ratings.
