2020 Chevrolet Spark

The 2020 Chevrolet Spark is a compact that can accommodate up to four people. Competitors include Mitsubishi Mirage and Kia Rio. Spark’s small size makes it ideal for living in the city. The ability to connect Apple CarPlay smartphones to Android Auto and WiFi 4G LTE hotspots make it easy to stay connected on the road. The Spark 2020 is unchanged and is offered in LS, 1LT, 2LT versions, and as a falsely robust Spark Activ. The powerful Spark mini is well equipped and reasonably priced at the top of the range, so stay away from the basement bargain versions.

2020 Spark Chevrolet offers low-speed automatic braking on 2LT trim. The 7.0-inch touchscreen entertainment system is standard and comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility as well as two USB ports. The 2020 Chevrolet Spark is small, no doubt, but the interior is roomier than one might expect. The front seat occupants have good visibility and sturdy seats wrapped in various interesting fabrics and synthetic upholstery. 2020 Chevy only classifies the Spark as a four-seater, so there’s no need to try and squeeze a third person into a tiny backseat. With only 33 inches of legroom, it is best suited for children or adults at very short distances.

Unfortunately, Spark’s tiny footprint had to be felt somewhere and it’s in the luggage compartment. With rear seats, it only holds 11 cubic feet of stuff. However, that number grows to 27.2 cubic feet with rear seats folded, about as much as you would find behind the rear seats of any compact hatchback.

2020 Chevrolet Spark Interior

Inside, the Spark is spacious given that it’s 7 feet shorter than the Chevy Suburban, but front-seat passengers will be more comfortable than the rear. Despite its solid features, decent safety performance and technology, and plenty of interior space, there is hardly a reason to justify spark selection for the bigger and more fun Sonic, but we commend Chevrolet for continuing to offer a pint-sized car. The Spark LS acts as the base model and includes a 7.0-inch entertainment system, a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and two USB ports as standard. The rest is discouraging: rollover windows, door handles, and plastic boxes.

2020 Chevrolet Spark Engine

All sparks come with a 1.4-liter inline-4 that makes a meager 98 horsepower. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on all threes and allows drivers to exhaust more performance than a spark, but most leave the CVT dealer loud and uncomfortable. The short wheelbase and narrow suspension make for fun in the corners, but for the most part, Spark is annoying to drive on imperfect roads, especially those with slits and big clutter.

The 2020 Chevrolet Spark models create 29 cities, 38 highway, and 33 combined mpg with a 5-speed manual and 30/38/33 mpg equipped CVT. Active trim comes with a slight penalty for both gearboxes, resulting in 29/37/32 mpg for manual and 30/37/33 for automatic. It’s better than most vehicles in general, but not particularly impressive for such a small car. Toyota and Nissan subcontracts are rated at 40 mpg on the freeway or better yet.

2020 Chevrolet Spark

The Chevrolet Spark 2020 has never been fully crashed tested and has no updated results for 2020. Fortunately, Spark offers automatic emergency braking and quick lane departure warning as part of the optional Drivers Confidence package on 2LT trims. The package is though only available with 2020 Chevrolet Spark CVT.
