2014 Cadillac XTS
The 2014 Cadillac XTS luxury sedan is a five passengers. There are four trim levels: Base, the Luxury, Premium and the Platinum Collection. The 2014 Cadillac XTS Premium and Platinum Vsport versions come with optional twin-turbo V6. Standard equipment for the 2014 Cadillac XTS base includes 19-inch wheels, adaptive suspension dampers, xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, heated mirrors, keyless ignition / entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, power front seats eight positions, a sliding and telescopic steering wheel and leather / faux suede. The 2014 Cadillac XTS Premium Collection is based on these deals with adaptive headlights, automatic high beams, a head-up display, screen dashboard can configure the updated driver tri-zone automatic climate control, an outlet of 110 volts, a navigation system, voice controls Bose audio system with 14 speakers surround sound, the audio controls, rear seat and the set of safety features including blind spot detection, lane departure warning, the rear cross traffic alert and Alerts frontal collision. 2014 Cadillac XTS Interior
The 2014 Cadillac XTS gives you the type of passenger volume is expected of a luxury sedan almost 17 meters long. Taillights in particular will appreciate spacious accommodation. For the efficient operation, it may have to look down on the panel for a bit to see what pressing, which of course requires to take your eyes off the road. As elegant as control panel is, not convinced that is practical enough for prime time.
2014 Cadillac XTS Engine
The 2014 Cadillac XTS begins with front wheel drive and an atmospheric 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 304 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is the standard. All-wheel drive is available and can be identified by the nickname “XTS4.” In testing, a Platinum XTS4 went from zero to 60 in 7.3 seconds – a second or so behind similar power and luxury sedans price. Fuel economy is at an EPA-estimated 17 highway mpg city / 28 mpg and 21 mpg combined with front-wheel drive, while models of all-wheel drive are rated at 17/26/20. For more pep, trims and 2014 Cadillac XTS Platinum Premium Vsport come with a turbo version of the 3.6-liter V6 that produces 410 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard with the V6 turbo, as it is a six-speed automatic. The EPA classifies the 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport to 16/24/19 mpg.
2014 Cadillac XTS Safety
The 2014 Cadillac XTS comes standard with antilock disc brakes, the stability control and traction control, the side airbags for front and rear seats, the side curtain airbags and front knee airbags. Also the standard is OnStar, which includes automatic crash notification, roadside assistance to the letter, remote door unlock, stolen vehicle assistance and turn-by-turn navigation. Adaptive cruise control with braking at low speed automatic is standard on Platinum and optional on Premium.
In braking tests, one 2014 Cadillac XTS came to a stop from 60 mph in 123 feet, which is normal for car of this class wearing all season tires. Available safety features include the blind spot monitoring, the lane departure warnings, forward collision warning, rear cross traffic alert and the driver’s seat vibration alerts the driver to an imminent collision each side of the 2014 Cadillac XTS.
