2014 Cadillac CTS Interior

The interior of the 2014 Cadillac CTS continues the trend first established by the XTS full size. It is a sophisticated and luxurious design rendered in rich and authentic materials combined with a high level of craftsmanship blended with technology. Leather, wood, anodized aluminum, black piano paint and carbon fiber are all genuine items. As such, they are immediately pleasing to the eye and touch.

On the front of the electronics, the 2014 Cadillac CTS is at the same rate as the Cadillac  XTS and Cadillac  ATS, and that means there are some challenges. The infotainment system touch-based Cadillac User Experience (CUE) is at the forefront of this type of system, offering countless menus to supplement the connected smartphones and provide useful information about the condition of the vehicle, weather, actions, fuel prices and more.

However, like many centralized control systems, CUE is based on a color touchscreen with a minimum of conventional buttons and knobs. Not only is there the learning curve for owners who are used to more traditional controls, but the response times to touch inputs can be slow, as if system simply needs more computing power, even for simple tasks like setting audio volume. Cadillac is working on updates, however, and we hope that later versions of the 2014 CTS will have a more evolved version of CUE.

Even if the interior of the 2014 Cadillac CTS measurements are not any more according to the published specifications, the exclusive atmosphere in the new sedan is certainly more pleasant and appropriate for the luxury car category of medium size. It is the ability of the rear seats and luggage than CTS falls slightly below the competition. At 13.7 cubic feet, the trunk of the 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan is shy of capacity in the 5 Series and E-Class.
