2014 Cadillac ATS

The 2014 Cadillac ATS is a five-passenger luxury sport sedan oriented offered in four trim levels: base, the Luxury, Performance and the Premium. The 2014 Cadillac ATS standard features on the base trim includes 17-inch wheels alloy wheels, heated mirrors, automatic headlights, active aerodynamics rack, cruise control, and the dual-zone automatic climate control, 6-way power front seats along power lumbar support , vinyl upholstery high quality synthetic leather, a tilt steering wheel and telescopic steering wheel, telephone connection OnStar, Bluetooth and a seven-speaker Bose sound system with satellite radio, an iPod interface / USB and auxiliary audio jack.

Optional 2014 Cadillac ATS based on the experience of the user (CUE) infotainment system Cadillac and enhanced surround sound system, which adds HD Radio, audio screen 8 inch touch screen, 10-speaker sound system Bose (with a CD player) and a rearview camera. Intensifying top trim adds 18-inch wheels, a navigation system, the head-up display color and folding 60/40 split rear seat. Models of the rear-wheel-drive premium ATS also come with run-flat summer tires, sport suspension, adaptive suspension dampers and a rear limited slip differential.

Many of the 2014 Cadillac ATS features that are standard on higher levels of finish are optional on lower trims. Some other option packages are also available. Driver Assist package includes the package features conscience and adds adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring a collision mitigation system with brake assist and head-up display color. The cold weather package includes the heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Available only in the premium V6 RWD models, the Performance Track package adds an engine oil cooler and brake pads superior. Other options include different wheels, a sunroof and trunk cargo organizer.

2014 Cadillac ATS Interior

Inside, the 2014 Cadillac ATS offers a variety of high quality materials, including  the wood and metal accents tasteful. The cabin feels solidly together, have noticed some more fit and finish issues in the 2014 Cadillac ATS than similarly priced competitors. 2014 Cadillac ATS Engine

Three engines are available for the 2014 Cadillac ATS. 2.5 models come with a four-cylinder 2.5-liter that produces 202 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. 2.0 Turbo models come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder rated 272 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque motor. 3.6 models come with a 3.6-liter V6 that cranks out 321 horsepower and 274 pound-feet of torque. All 2014 Cadillac ATS engines are mated to an automatic transmission, six-speed except the 2.0-liter turbo, which can also be had along a six-speed manual. Rear-wheel drive is standard in all areas. All-wheel drive is optional for engines of 2.0 and 3.6 liters and requires the automatic transmission.

In testing, a rear-drive 2014 Cadillac ATS 2.0T with manual went from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds. An ATS 2.0T automatic equipped (also RWD) resulted in an identical time. A rear-drive ATS premium 3.6 accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. Both times are average among luxury sedans entry level power similarly. EPA fuel economy estimates for the 2014 Cadillac ATS 2.5 base is combined 26 mpg (22 mpg city / 33 mpg highway). Equipped with automatic, an estimated 2.0 Turbo models to return 24 mpg combined (21/31) in the configuration of rear wheel drive and 23 mpg combined (20/29) with AWD. With the manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, the ATS 2.0 Turbo is rated at 23 mpg combined (19/30). The V6 is estimated to achieve 22 mpg combined (18/28) with rear wheel drive and 21s (18/26) with AWD.

2014 Cadillac ATS Safety

Standard safety features for the 2014 Cadillac ATS include antilock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, front active headrests, side and front and knee airbags and full-length side curtain airbags seats. Also standard is OnStar, which includes automatic crash notification, roadside assistance to the letter, remote door unlock, stolen vehicle assistance and turn-by-turn navigation.

Optional security elements are included in the awareness of the aforementioned drivers and driver assistance packages cruise. Note that the collision mitigation system which is part of the package of driver assistance brakes collision scenarios will be automatically applied in both low speed forward and backward, an unusual feature in this price range.
