The 2015 BMW Alpina B7 is a thematic performance 7 Series full-size luxury sedan version. It is offered in versions both short and long wheelbase, with either rear- or all-wheel drive. The 2015 BMW Alpina B7 offers a handful of options and separate packages. The 2015 BMW Alpina B7 also adds tasteful Alpina badging, the unique steering wheel and optional wood trim including ash, myrtle and walnut, in addition to the classic black piano cutoff to distinguish it from the 2015 BMW 7 Series standard BMW. Blue backlit gauges and illuminated scuff plates also extend the uniqueness of the Alpina. Like the BMW 7 Series, the 2015 BMW Alpina B7 has the telematics BMW iDrive interface, which is quite easy to use, thanks to simple menus, the sharp graphics and faster processing times. But compared to rival systems often requires a bit more twists and clicks to get what you want. Storage space is our only complaint with this interior. The center console and glove are quite small, as in the regular BMW 7 Series, luggage capacity is only 14.0 cubic feet. The standard rear bench folds down to provide extra space when needed.

The 2015 BMW Alpina B7 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that generate 540 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. An 8-speed automatic is the only transmission available and includes manual shift control via buttons mounted on the steering wheel. In standard form, the 2015 BMW Alpina B7 comes in a set of rear wheel drive, but all-wheel is available. The EPA estimates fuel economy at 19 mpg combined (16 city / 25 highway) for RWD models, while AWD versions of fall 1 mpg highway rating.
