The Audi Q5 still shares a basic platform with the A4 sedan and A5 coupe / convertible. Like those models, with a relatively sporty handling with a comfortable ride, but the driving dynamics of the platform are dulled by something higher off the Q5 and the larger size. On the other hand, the Audi Q5 provides an elevated view of the road along with plenty of cargo space: 29.1 cubic feet with rear seats up and 57.3 with folded.

Despite being a car-based crossover, Audi says the Audi Q5 still acquits himself well off the road. His climbing ability of 31 degrees inclination is respectable, while its projection angle is 25 degrees thanks to the short front overhang. The ramp angle, determined by the wheelbase, is 17.5 degrees. The ground clearance is a healthy 7.87 inches, with fording depth of up to 19.69 inches when driving through water. Despite all that, the Audi Q5 should not be mistaken as a core vehicle off road.

The Audi Q5 cabin is trimmed with tasteful high quality materials and can be equipped with the latest version of the infotainment system Audi MMI. It also features Audi Connect, which provides Internet connectivity in the car and the industry’s first integration of Google Earth – complete with panoramic, high-resolution satellite and aerial imagery, 3D views.

Audi Q5 asks buyers to choose from four different trim levels. The hybrid model is only available with the top tier Prestige trim. The 2.0T Premium features the turbo four, plus leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control a / FM CD / AM / SiriusXM audio with AUX inout jack, automatic wipers and headlights a information system for the driver and 18-inch wheels. Xenon headlights with the LED daytime running lights and a power liftgate are newly standard. Highlights of the option list include Comfort package, which includes heated front seats and ventilated Milano leather, the interior sports package with front sports seats and a sports steering wheel, 3-spoke, and Assist driver package which allows the driver to adapt to lead the effort, throttle response and transmission shift style to your preference. This package also includes adaptive cruise control.

Audi Q5 Engine

The Audi Q5 can be had with four different engines, each of which move through an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels via Quattro all-wheel-drive Audi. The access engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque while returning 20 mpg city and 28 mpg on the highway engine. Those looking for a little more power can spec a 3.0-liter supercharged V6, which replaces the old 3.2-liter unit produces 272 horsepower and 295 pounds-feet of torque. Fuel economy is rated at 18/26 mpg.

Also available V6 turbo-diesel 3.0-liter that cranks out 240 horsepower and an impressive 428 lbs-ft of torque. Despite all that low-end rotation, the diesel engine is the Q5 thriftiest, earning a rating of 24/31 mpg EPA. Although somewhat overshadowed in terms of power and economy for the new diesel, a hybrid gas-electric is still available. The Audi Q5 standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor to produce 245 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque. Checks mileage 24/30 mpg. Audi recently added all Q5 electromechanical steering to reduce fuel consumption.

Audi Q5 Safety

Audi Q5 standard safety features include dual-length curtain airbags front side, front and side, plus traction and stability control and a monitoring system for tire pressure.
