2014 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Interior

For the most part, the 2014 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Interior makes the occupants feel special. Supple leather wide stripes adorn most surfaces, accented by contrast stitching. Even starting the engine has some ceremony as well as to insert the key fob heavy glass (the “Control Unit Emotion” as Aston Martin calls it) into a slot on top of the dash and hold to raise the engine.

As the smallest and least expensive in the lineup Aston Martin model, the Vantage has a cabin that is almost identical to its more expensive DB9 Rapide and siblings. As is the case also suffers from some of the same mistakes as those models. By today’s standards, the electronics interface source-Volvo is far behind the times, as is the navigation system by Garmin. Some of the switches and knobs also lack the kind of quality you would expect in an exotic sports car.

Even by the standards of sports cars, Vantage cabin feels restrictive, although some may experience all wraps. For the feet are on the narrow side, however, and can cause some discomfort after some hours of travel. On the positive side, the coupe trunk can contain up 10.6 cubic feet of cargo, but drops Roadster only 5 cubic feet. Unfolding or folding convertible top takes about 18 seconds.
