Acura RLX
The flagship of Acura RLX sticks to the formula V6, and also provides an update on all-wheel drive Acura that first debuted in the 2005 Acura RL sedan. No V8, but the basis Acura RLX not get new system all wheel steering, while the hybrid system improves its all-wheel -drive electric motors to send extra power to the front or rear wheels. Despite riding on a wheelbase 2 inches longer than the Acura RL sedan it replaces, the Acura RLX uses shorter overhangs, a wider stance and LED headlamps for a more compact, sporty appearance than its predecessor.
Acura RLX Interior
Acura has always drawn on top luxury segment with its range powertrain and has relied on its technological advances to make a convincing argument. The Acura RLX continues that trend by offering an amazing array of high-tech features including two LCD screens, smartphone connectivity, hands-free audio, climate control and text messages, as well as the next generation of the AcuraLink telematic service. And like most Acura vehicles, the RLX provides a high level of refinement and must offer an above-average reliability.
Acura RLX Engine
The Acura RLX debuted for model year 2014 based and hybrid versions. Both models receive a 310-hp 3.5-liter V6, although the hybrid uses dual electric motors integrated into a four-wheel drive system that distribute extra power-Acura claims 60 hp more-both for the front and rear wheels. Both models use a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode via paddles on the steering wheel, while the base model a steering system becomes four wheel you can adjust the angle of the rear wheels to improve cornering and control.
The Acura RLX is available in five trim levels: base, Navigation, Technology package, the Krell Audio package and the Advance package. Standard and optional features include alloy wheels 18-inch, LED headlights, the sunroof, the key-less entry, tri-zone automatic climate control, leather camera multi-view, Bluetooth, integration of smartphones and connected AcuraLink services, and an audio system 10 speakers. Packages and Advance Audio Krell include an audio system with 14 speakers date.
As with most current Acura products, the Acura RLX offers a sumptuous interior, including the stitched instrument panel, the steering wheel and center console with wood and metal accents throughout the cabin. Although Acura does not offer the power options of its European rivals, their cabin environments are among the best in the class. Acura says the Acura RLX also offers best in class legroom in the rear seat, with about 3 inches of space to spread than comparable models of German and Japanese luxury, and some of the wider front and space for rear passengers in the segment.
Acura RLX Safety
Acura RLX also loaded with safety features, including lane change, blind spots and alert systems frontal collision, lane maintenance, collision 02mitigation braking and adaptive cruise control.
