The Volkswagen Golf 2014 is a hatchback with five passengers in two – and four body styles doors. Everyone is on a 2.5-liter TDI variants of equipment that are broken engine choice. The Volkswagen Golf 2014 includes all standard equipment above except the sunroof. Also included are 17 – inch alloy wheels, sports suspension a lower ride height, fog lamps, windshield washer nozzles, heated and ambient lighting. The sunroof and navigation package adds a sunroof and a navigation system, but subtract the audio jack and auxiliary compass. The Technology Package includes items Sunroof and navigation and bi-xenon adaptive headlights, LED daytime running lights, keyless ignition / entry and Dynaudio premium sound system.
Volkswagen Golf 2014 2.5L is powered by a 2.5- liter five-cylinder, 170 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. These Golf models are used as Partial Zero Emission Vehicles ( PZEV ), sorted when sold in states with California emissions standards. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, and a Hill Holder function, while a six-speed automatic is optional. The Golf 2.5L with the automatic achieves an EPA – estimated combined 24 mpg city/31 mpg highway and 26 mpg. Meet the improvement manual to 23/33/26. But either way, that’s worse fuel economy than the primary competition (though less powerful) of Golf.
For better fuel economy, the Volkswagen Golf 2014 is recommended. It has a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel online, a modest 140 horsepower and then complemented by a robust 236 pounds -feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, and a six-speed automated manual ( DSG ) is optional. In Edmunds performance testing a Golf TDI with a manual went from zero to 60 mph in 8.7 seconds – a short time for this segment. EPA – estimated fuel economy for both transmissions of 30/42/34 mpg, but you are probably better in the real world.
Standard safety features for Volkswagen Golf 2014 include traction and stability control, antilock disc brakes, front side airbags and side curtain airbags. In Edmunds brake testing a 2014 Golf TDI stopped to 60 mph in 121 feet – a good distance for this segment. In crash tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Gulf received the highest score of “Good” in frontal-offset, side and roof strength tests.
Volkswagen Golf 2014 interior is mounted high in design, solid feel on the road against. At highway speeds the Gulf is much quieter than other hatchbacks. Alternatively, you can instill a confidence winding road nicely weighted steering.
