The Audi A5 Cabriolet is designed to straddle the line between sensual and refined track performance. Essentially a convertible version of the Audi S5 Coupe, Audi S5 Cabriolet shares most stylish hardtop and also uses same engine. Both models recently received a mid-cycle update that includes the most stylish headlights, grill “single-frame” and a more aggressive front fascia. The motivation is coming from a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that generate 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. Unlike the Coupe, which is available with a manual six-speed transmission, the Cabriolet comes exclusively with seven-speed automatic dual-clutch that sends power to all four wheels via Quattro all-wheel-drive Audi. The sprint from 0 mph to 60 comes in a claimed 5.3 seconds and fuel consumption is estimated at 18 mpg city and 28 mpg on the highway.

The engine of the Audi S5 Cabriolet is mounted further back in the engine compartment, behind the front wheels – normally seen in Aud. The placement is designed to help the weight distribution of aid and provide a more neutral handling feel. As with all “S” Audi S5 has a full complement of suspension modifications and style designed to give a sportier look and feel. Models Bigger brakes and lowered suspension helps the hardened and Z-rated tires deliver power uprated to the street. The interior features pampering fit carbon fiber, special seats and a single wheel. The Premium Plus setting adds a navigation system with Audi Connect, a 12-speaker, 505-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system with relational technology HD, Audi side assist and the rear parking camera. Notable options include ventilated seats, the adaptive cruise control and a differential performance-oriented Sport package with torque vectoring. The Audi Drive Select, which offers a variety of different calibrations suspension, steering, transmission and engine. The optical package adds black exterior features Black 19 inch wheels and Rotor-design Titanium.

All Audi S5 Cabriolet models come standard with dual front airbags, front knee, front and side, plus traction and stability control. One Rollbar pop-up system that provides additional protection in rollover situations are also included. Optional is Audi side assist, which monitors blind spots and fast-approaching vehicles.
