Much of the quickness of the car can be attributed to its Quattro system, which has an advanced center differential “crown” limited slip which can vary the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles in less than the blink of an eye to adapt to driving conditions. The default 40:60 front / rear torque split provides a sense rear-wheel drive and sporty, and the system can send up to 70 percent of engine power to the front wheels or 85 percent in the rear when needed.

The crown diff works in conjunction with a stability control system can apply braking pressure to the inside wheel in turns to minimize under-steer, which otherwise could be a dynamic feature definition in 56:44 front / rear weight distribution the car.
