2014 Acura ILX Hybrid is the first hybrid for the luxury automaker, offering automotive fuel efficient and sporty styling in a compact package. The 2014 Acura ILX Hybrid, like its counterpart ILX, based on the Honda Civic sedan but offers more features and luxury accessories. On the outside, the 2014 Acura ILX Hybrid looks pretty much the same as the gas-only version, just add small pieces of chrome trim at the front lower spoiler and trunk for some discrimination. Powered moonroof and fog lights are standard, along with alloy wheels 16-inch. Wheels 17-inch high-performance tires and all season-is optional.

Under the hood, 2014 Acura ILX Hybrid employs a hybrid powertrain that combines 1.5-liter engine four-cylinder and electric motor 108-volt battery that is powered by lithium-ion 144-volt. Total output is 111-hp. The ILX Hybrid also includes an efficient continuously variable transmission, wheel shifters for tighter control. The ECON button remaps throttle mapping and transmission for even greater fuel efficiency. EPA estimated fuel economy figures are checked in at 39/38 mpg city/highway.
